Update 4/27/20 - Good Evening, this is Dr. Rhodes Gothenburg Schools Superintendent. First and foremost, we hope that this message finds you are safe and healthy. After surveying the Class of 2020 we have set the date of Saturday, August 1st at 7:00 p.m. for this year’s commencement exercises. The type of graduation will be dependent on the recommendations and guidance set forth by the State of Nebraska and the Local Health Department. Prom which had been postponed has now been canceled. The school district is currently evaluating and working on a plan for summer school. We are trying to create multiple options at this time. The option we choose will be based on health guidance at that time. To help collect all library materials that are still checked out, we are offering several book drop-off opportunities. Mrs. Long will collect all Junior High and High School library materials on Thursday, April 30th and Friday, May 1st from 1:00 - 3:30 p.m. in the southwest corner of the high school parking lot. Mrs. Harrison will collect all elementary library materials on Thursday, April 30th from 7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. at the elementary front doors. As a reminder May 6th is the last day for Seniors and May 15th is the last day for all K-11th grade students. On behalf of the Faculty and Staff of Gothenburg Public Schools we miss you and look forward to the time we are all back together again. Thank you and good evening.
