Personal:
I chose to move to this position because I’ve always had a love for science. Science is how we learn about our world- how and why things work the way they do. Science is the way in which we acquire knowledge!
I am married to Jake Rubenthaler, a crop consultant with Crop Tech Solutions. I have two children. My son is Blake loves ALL things related to sports. He is normally covered in scrapes and dirt from his adventures. He started golfing last year and immediately fell in love with it. He is also a huge fan of baseball. His baseball team finished 3rd in their league this year. My daughter, Makenzie is confident, loud, and her brother’s shadow. If you see her, say “hello!”. She is her happiest at the pool, dancing, doing her makeup and shopping! She spent her summer playing softball and improving her gymnastics.
I believe in the classroom as a place for collaboration and growth. This requires us to function as an efficient and cohesive unit. My expectation is that you control what you can, to create a learning environment where ALL are successful. In my classroom walls, you are a scientist and an essential piece of our learning environment.
