Read Across America

Students at Dudley Elementary kicked off Read Across America week on Feb. 27 in an assembly led by Mrs. Floyd and Mrs. Harrison. 

The National Education Association's yearly celebration kicks off the week that includes March 2, Dr. Suess' Birthday with the  aim to encourage reading and education of people about its benefits, especially among children and young adults. Events are organized across the nation by schools and organizations to promote the same.

Dudley's celebration kicked off with "Dress Like A Tourist Monday" when students dressed as tourists. 

The theme for March 1 was Texas Tuesday or Worn Out Wednesday and students wore Western Attire or Pajamas.
