TY Vets

Gothenburg Public Schools saluted Veterans Nov. 10 in a school-wide program that included local Veterans.

The program featured the National Anthem by the Dudley Elementary Honor Choir, led by Erica Wieseler and musical numbers by the High School Band and Choir led by Tonya Welch.

Dudley Elementary second and fourth graders presented the Veterans in attendance with hand made cards and remarks were offered by Dr. Allison Jonas, Superintendent of Schools and Ashlyn Richeson, GHS Student Council President.

The honored speaker for the day was 1999 Gothenburg High School graduate Jesse Kincheloe, a retired member of United States Air Force.

His Veteran's Day "Pinch of Kinch" can be seen here.

Following the program, Veterans and their families were served brunch by the GHS Student Council.

Gothenburg Public Schools, the administration, staff and students are forever grateful for the sacrifice of our service men and women.
