Cheering on the bench

Swede fans are encouraged to be loud, wear your best Swede gear and pack the North gym tonight at GHS when the Gothenburg girls' basketball team takes on the Ogallala Indians in the district final.

Game time is 6 p.m. and the activities entrance doors will open at 4:50 p.m.

Thanks to generous donations from Country Partners, State Farm-Heidi Bazata, Gothenburg Eyecare, Flatwater Bank, Hicken Lumber, and The Home Agency, ALL STUDENTS GRADES K-12 WILL BE ADMITTED FREE.

Students in grades 7-12 should park in the elementary west parking lot and enter through the west door by the weight room. Students in grades K-6 arriving with their parents will be admitted free at the main ticket tables by the activities entrance.

In addition, the first 100 adults to enter the gym for the game will be admitted at no charge, thanks to our friends at The Burg. Arrive early for your seat!

Andy Hilbers and T&L Sund have generously donated popcorn for ALL guests.

A win tonight would give the Swedes their third appearance at the State Tournament in four years.

The Girls' State Basketball Tournament kicks off on March 5 in Lincoln.
