At its June 9, 2025 meeting, the Gothenburg Public Schools Board of Education accepted the resignation of Board Member Nate Wyatt. In accordance with state law, the Board will begin the process of appointing a qualified individual to serve the remainder of Mr. Wyatt’s term.
The Board encourages community members to consider applying for this volunteer position as a way to support public education and the students of Gothenburg Public Schools.
Applications are available at bit.ly/applyBOE and at the Superintendent’s Office, 1322 Avenue I, Gothenburg, NE. To be eligible, applicants must be registered voters and residents of the Gothenburg Public School District.
The Board will review all applications after the deadline. The appointed candidate will be sworn in at the regular Board of Education meeting on Monday, July 14, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. in the Jr./Sr. High Media Center.
