As we approach the beginning of the 2nd semester and kick off a NEW YEAR (2023), take time to ask your children if they are “A carrot”, “An egg”, or “A coffee bean”! During the months of November and December, Mrs. Floyd read “The Coffee Bean For Kids” by Jon Gordon to quite a few 2nd-6th grade classrooms. This book shares many positive messages that our students can implement daily to impact our school, community, and country the right way. The book offers lessons to help students 1.) Impact the environment around them, 2.) Improve their own outlook 3.) Become a leader who creates positive change, 4.) Make new friends, and 5.) Become a positive influence by sharing smiles, kindness, and positive energy. We hope our SWEDE students will each do their part to be A COFFEE BEAN and continue to create a positive culture around them at home, at school, and throughout our great community of Gothenburg! #swedeslead
