Children need healthy meals to learn.

Gothenburg Public Schools offers healthy meals every school day through the brunch and school lunch program.

Elementary students are offered breakfast first thing in the morning when they get to school and High School students (7-12) are offered brunch every morning for students throughout the school for a mid-morning break to help feed their brains and bodies and hold them over until lunch.

Effective for the 2023-24 school year, Lunchtime Solutions, in partnership with Gothenburg Public Schools, will serve meals at the following rates:

  • Elementary Breakfast: $1.75

  • Jr/Sr. High Breakfast: $1.75

  • Reduced Breakfast: $0.30

  • Adult Breakfast: $2.35

  • Jr./Sr. High Lunch: $3.10

  • Elementary Lunch: $2.80

  • Reduced Priced Meals: $0.40

  • Second Lunch Entree: $2.25

  • Adult Lunch: $4.60

  • Extra Milk: $0.50

The new school year has brought about the elimination of the USDA Waiver and a new meal application is required. Applications are received year-round. Only one application is required per household and it can be found by clicking here.

The application may be submitted in a sealed envelope to the attention of Joni Jacobsen at the Elementary or Junior/Senior High office between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday or by mailing it to:
