The Swingin' Swedes Jazz Band played for a room full of superintendents this morning. They were amazing! Regan topped off the performance with a beautiful rendition of the star spangled banner. A fabulous example of what happens when Swedes work hard. Great work Swingin' Swedes!
It was such wonderful performances by our 1st, 2nd & 3rd grade students last night. We are so proud of their singing, speaking parts, and the choreography. Mrs. Wieseler did a great job preparing them for outstanding performances. We hope you enjoyed your evening at Gothenburg Public Schools.

Swedes Collaborate!! The 2nd grade students worked with Intro to Technology students. The 2nd graders read them stories about a student making a trunk at school and then learned about how the Intro kids made their boxes at school. They also got to learn about how to drill and watch some high school students use the shop equipment. #SwedesLead !
Due to North Platte's Golf Course inability to host this early, the North Platte Boys Golf Invite scheduled for Friday, March 24th is postponed to a date to be determined.
Dudley Elementary is excited to have an event for families on 4/20 from 5:30-7:00. The evening will provide a variety of fun activities for families to do together. A hotdog meal will be served as well. We hope to see you all on April 20th!

The Dudley Elementary (4th, 5th, & 6th) grades were "Springing Into the Music Season" tonight with beautiful music at their performances in the PAC. The kids are very talented and sounded amazing. Thank you to Mrs. Wieseler for preparing our students for a wonderful evening of music for parents, grandparents, and community members. In addition to the musical performances, student artwork was on display for all to enjoy. The Gothenburg Boys Golf Team will open their season with a Varsity / JV dual on Thurs. The Swedes will take on the Broken Bow Indians at Wildhorse Golf Club. The meet starts at 3:30. Go Swedes!!
Calendar Change:
Due to the projected weather this weekend, the Gothenburg track team will NOT be attending the Sidney meet on Sat.
The team will now attend the Holdrege Track Invite on Friday, March 24th. This will be a Girls & Boys Varsity meet starting at 1:00 P.M.
The Junior High will finish their quiz bowl season on Wed. at the Broken Bow Invite. The meet starts at 9:00. Good luck Swedes!!

The Swede speech team will host a Showcase on Monday, the 27th. During the evening the team will share performances and present team awards! The event starts at 7:30pm in the PAC. (note: this is a change from the calendar time of 7) The showcase is open to all!
