The Gothenburg Speech team will travel to North Platte to compete in the Blue and Gold Invite on Sat. Rounds for the invite will start at 8:00. The competition takes place at the high school. Good luck Swedes!!



A shout out to Micheal Teahon, former GPS Superintendent, who spent some time with the Gothenburg board of education Thur. evening sharing his wisdom regarding board effectiveness. He’s truly the best! (and if you’re reading this on Friday - tell him happy birthday! 😉)

The Swedes will take the home court for the last regular season game of the season for the girls and the last one at home for the boys. Gothenburg will host Ainsworth at 4:30 starting with the JV girls and boys. The JV girls will play 3 qtrs. The senior parents will be recognized tonight as well. Good Luck Swedes!

The Gothenburg girls basketball teams will play Ogallala at home on Tues. in the north gym. The JV game will start at 5:00 followed by the varsity. Come cheer on the Swedes as they take on the Indians! Let's go Swedes!

Information from Mr. Ryker, Secondary Principal for GPS, on behalf of the District with an important announcement regarding Parent Teacher conferences which are scheduled to occur Thursday, February 9th. Parents of students in grades preschool through 6th grade have all received communication from classroom teachers regarding the format and conference times for this round of conferences. Please contact Mrs. Keith or Mrs. Floyd with any questions or changes that need to be made.
Teachers in grades 7-12 will be available for in person conferences during the following times:
7-9AM, 11-1PM, 4-7PM
Arrangements can still be made to conference by phone or Zoom. Please email your child’s teachers to schedule those options.
**Please note that students will not have school on Thursday, February 9th or Friday, February 10th.
We hope to see you on February 9th. Parent Teacher conferences are an important part of your child’s education!

The Swede Speech Team hosted 28 teams and 400 entries at their home invitational last Saturday! The Swedes earned 39 medals and were champs in 10 of the 20 events. Highlights included the Varsity Duet sweep and the Novice sweeps in Extemp, Humorous, Informative, and Persuasive. With two weeks left in the regular season, the team next heads to the Blue & Gold Invite in North Platte.
