Good Morning Swedes!
We have been working hard to put all of our currently taught health topics in one place so that we can formally adopt what we are currently doing with regards to health and wellness topics. Over 15 teachers contributed to this document and it is rather comprehensive. We are inviting the public to read through this document and ask any questions you may have. A summary document can be found at https://bit.ly/GPShealth_summary and a complete document can be found at bit.ly/GPShealth We welcome you to submit any questions you have by Friday, July 7th. Please submit questions at https://bit.ly/GPShealth_survey
Please note: these are not new topics - these are topics we are currently teaching that have been put in one place for community review.
School may be out for the summer, but our Gothenburg staff has been hard at work at ESU #10 this week learning about best practices for supporting students who have experienced trauma and also diving into our academic school-wide data. #SwedesLead

The Class of 2025 experienced on-the-job training with a number of businesses in our community. A big thank you goes out to each of those who participated in our Job Shadow program for opening your business to our students!

I'd like to give a shout out to our students and staff involved in making our Strategic Plan component of "expanded opportunities" come to life this year. GPS students received 347 college credit hours over the course of the 2022-2023 school year. Impressive!!!

We are hiring! GPS has a paraprofessional opening for the 23-24 school year.

We are excited to announce that Mrs. Gwen Gundell will be joining our Swede Staff as the Dudley Elementary Administrative Assistant for the 2023-2024 school year. Mrs. Gundell, along with her husband James have been longtime residents of Gothenburg. Their twin boys (Turner & Jackson) graduated from Gothenburg Public Schools! Gwen most recently worked at City Hall where you may have had the opportunity to enjoy her positive and professional personality. Please help us welcome Mrs. Gwen Gundell to our SWEDE TEAM! We are blessed to have her joining a wonderful staff at GPS! #SwedesLead
